Copying your game folder
Important
You can skip this page if you want but please take into account the information below before making your decision.
Copying your game folder isn't strictly required but doing so has a few advantages:
You will still be able to launch the game normally with no mods if you want to play vanilla.
Your copy will stay on the same version and you won't have to worry about auto-updates breaking it.
It does however come with a few disadvantages:
Since your copy won't auto-update, if you do want to update it, you'll have to make a new copy of the updated version and copy your mod files from the old copy into the new copy.

Important
From this point on, any reference to your game folder refers to your copy unless explicitly specified otherwise. In addition, any reference to your BepInEx folder refers to the one in your copy of the game.
